LineWatch sensors are best in class power line sensing and monitoring devices to meet utilities grid modernization application needs.

LineWatch sensors are best in class power line sensing and monitoring devices to meet utilities grid modernization application needs.  LineWatch L low voltage (600V) and LineWatch M medium voltage (up to 36 kV) sensors are deployed to address secondary and primary distribution grid applications respectively.  Both LineWatch sensors deliver highly accurate (±0.5%) voltage, current and phase angle measurements and derive other values including, kWh, Vh, power factor, real and reactive power and energy, directional power flows, harmonics, etc. to provide the data necessary to monitor and manage the grid more efficiently and effectively.  LineWatch M’s uses an innovative, non-neutrally connected sensor design facilitating very safe, easy and fast deployment of sensors using a standard shotgun hot stick.  The LineWatch L is equally simple and safe to install using insulated gloves.  The ease of installment on live lines, without disrupting power delivers further advantages by reducing the cost to plan, deploy and maintain devices over their 15-year design life.  Furthermore, both devices leverage the native DNP3 capability of the sensors to integrate directly with the utility’s existing SCADA infrastructure and analytics capabilities.

Best in class metrology, ease and safety of installation, maintenance free operation make LineWatch sensors the most accurate, lowest cost, easy to use distribution grid sensing and monitoring systems available in the market.
